Evangelism
Being a cell-based church, the various cell groups are one of the main means of evangelism. The active cells are currently at Beringin, Setapak and Sungei Buloh.
Attendances at cell meetings are not very encouraging because the concept of a cell-based church (as opposed to a church with cell groups) has not caught on. People still expect to hear a preacher at cells when we encourage them to raise questions and get clarifications on things that they are not clear about. All cells are strongly encouraged to debate and discuss matters raised at the weekly Sunday Celebrations. They are encouraged to speak their mind and not be intimidated by anyone. Only when the people learn to raise questions, rather than being passive participants, can they have a better grasp of things.
A new feature this year was the house to house caroling that was successfully carried out from 18.12.2007 – 20.12.2007. This was held together with CoP PJ. Ten houses were visited each day with the last day reserved for Petaling Jaya and Puchong areas.
A three-day evangelistic meeting was held in May 2008 with Bro Shamma Abraham being the speaker. This despite being a first time effort in organising an evangelistic meeting was definitely a resounding success. Many lives were touched and some made a positive effort in re-dedicating their lives to the furtherance of His Kingdom.
